Teaching Systems in the Modern Classroom: Grammar, Vocabulary
& Pronunciation in Action

A Professional Development Event for English Teachers

February 15th, 2026

Where Language Systems Meet Classroom Practice

This professional development event brings English teachers together for a practical look at how to teach grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation in ways that genuinely support better communication. Throughout the day, participants will explore how to deal with persistent errors, overcome common pronunciation obstacles that affect intelligibility, and work with functional language in a fun and engaging way.

The programme also highlights effective vocabulary revision techniques informed by the lexical approach and grammar awareness activities that make practice purposeful. Designed for teachers who want both fresh ideas and tools they can apply right away, this event offers a balanced mix of theory, demonstration, and classroom-ready activities to support more fluent and accurate learners.

Why Does Teaching Language Systems Matter?

As a teacher, I have always been especially interested in how we teach the core systems of English — grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation - and how these systems connect to real communication. Very often, learners know the rules and understand the forms, but struggle to use them accurately, confidently, and naturally. This is the gap that inspired this event.

The idea behind it is to bring teachers together to rethink how we approach these fundamental areas of language. Not as isolated topics or sets of exercises, but as living, interconnected systems that shape how our learners think, speak, and express themselves. Our goal is to move beyond mechanical practice and explore approaches that truly support communication, clarity, and confidence.

This professional development event is not just about methodology; it is about reflection, professional growth, and meaningful change in the classroom. I hope that every participant leaves not only with practical tools, but also with fresh inspiration and a renewed perspective on what it means to teach English as a living language.
